Safaa Blila

This course was very enjoyable with Dr. Blila. There wasn't a lot of content, the course was heavily based on readings, but I still did well without reading most of them. The activities were also fun which made it easy to attend class. Overall she is really personable and it's very to succeed in her class if you put in a decent amount of effort.

I want to gatekeep her soo badly, but I'm a fair reviewer :) She is OUTSTANDING, a FAIR marker, and an EXCEPTIONAL teacher! Yes, she can be fast at times, but YOU can ask her to repeat, clarify or slow down. She made me fall in love with the language. Her passion for teaching and genuine care for students make her classes enjoyable and informative!

the textbook is needed in order to keep up with the vocab. practice outside of class and attend lectures.

This class was a nightmare. The professor is overly strict and acts like everything revolves around her. She's unapproachable, and asking questions feels like a burden. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Just Awful prof plain and simple.

As long as you study and do the homework and in class assignments, you're good. The classroom size was small like a high school class size which made the classes alot more interactive and the prof makes the effort to know everyones names. She was really nice and cares for her students and is pretty lenient. She also explains things really well.

best professor I've had, in my opinion

Do the work and you'll be fine, it is not a lot. She gives a variety of different things she marks you off. The course load is not bad compared to most electives, just do the work and come to class. Make sure you dont fall behind on lectures and vocab. The teacher is supportive and the class is small. Would definitely take her class again.

She's strict and wants to see if students are putting efforts on the course or not. Some didn't like her because of her strictness but it was because they wanted to get an easy A+ without doing works . She cares each student (she knows your weakness and strength). She's happy to help you during office hours too. If you do your work, you'll excel!
