Fantastic class involvement in lecture, promotes discussion and question asking in lecture. Lots of examples. Runs through examples step by step on paper. Plays drums in a super kick ass band (no joke). Friendly, helpful as can be. HIS CLASS & LAB EXAMPLES ARE EXACTLY WHAT YOU'LL SEE ON THE TEST.
Eli is a great young professor at Ryerson. Material Science is in no way a pushover of a course but with him and a bit of elbow grease, you are sure to do well. He has good lecture slides but his explanations, especially for topics like composite material stress and ceramics make life a whole lot easier.
Tests are fair, every example he does shows up on the test is some type of form. If you have a question, he goes slowly and thoroughly explains it to you. He's powerpoints are keys to getting good grades. He also tells you the break down of the test. Would take again for sure! And the way he explains is much more enjoyable then you normally think.
Did many examples in class. It was my favourite class to go to during the semester. He made learning the material fun and exciting.
He puts effort into making the lectures fun and relatable whether that's bringing props or relating curriculum to super heroes and real life situations. It would be best to pay attention as the curriculum can be difficult and he makes it worth while to learn from him rather than the textbook. He also promotes your mixtape before class.
Very good prof. Clear and concise explanations, very helpful and friendly. In class examples are also a great asset. Plays music at begging of class and during breaks, sometimes before mid terms, really helpful especially with those 8 am classes! Overall a great prof!
He's honestly such a cool teacher who cares about teaching his students and their understanding of the course content.
First ever actual "Professor" who actually developed interest of a students like myself who is not into materials and chemistry also loves what he teaches.
Eli was an awesome instructor and was always eager to help those who didn't understand or further explain for those who were interested. He made the class easy to understand and the material easy to learn
