Had Lisa last semester and took her for granted. She is very experienced and guides you through what you need to know for exams/skills testing. I was kind of intimidated by her at first but she just wants you to succeed. She gives constructive feedback and is honest on what you need to improve. Participation is important and do your readings!
Professor Mak genuinely cares about her students - she would tell us what info is impt and this came in handy for exams. Although her approach was intimidating at first, you quickly warm up to her. She taught 100s of students but still went out of her way to learn your name, makes you feel human in uni. Overall a great lecturer for both lec and lab
Had her for lecture and lab. Ngl this course is a lot of work so you NEED to do the readings and attend the labs. Shes a good teacher, she doesnt just read off the slides and she helpful for helping us prepare for skills tests and exams. ngl her approach can be scary sometimes. Id rather have her just for lectures tbh and not labs...
She cares about your learning and wants you to do well. Isn't a hard marker so you'll get good grades but personally I also found her to be rude and easily irritated, which made me scared of her icl. One time she yelled at her TA for no reason.
Lecture: Lisa is a great lecturer, she highlights what is important and really stresses it. However, at times she will use collective punishment if the class is not engaged... However, she prepares you well for exams. Lab: She is bit disorganized, telling classes different things, often forgetting to post material. Easy marker and good feedback.
I find that she's really difficult to talk to. She often pushes for students to participate and will call on you for a response. I am not a fan because I'm just not that kind of person. She's traditional, very strict, and never keeps things private. Constantly relayed messages to another teacher even though she was my lecture professor. Unsafe.
Lisa is a great nurse who teaches you how to be one as well. She is very caring and wants the success of her students more than anything. If you have a skills test, you want her marking you! She understands students and pushes them to do their best. She knows a lot about a lot of stuff. She is on her students' side. But the course itself is hard...
I love prof.Mak. If you want to succeed just not in the course but in life, you better off if you have her specially for second year clinical practice lab and class. Her lectures and lab will inspire you to be better human beings and care about the patients while being strict towards academics. I feel blessed for having her and god bless her.
Amazing. Lisa was meant to teach, she is purely amazing. Shes extremely kind and caring and looks out for her students. She explains things thoroughly, she walks you through everything to expect on skills testing day and gives you no surprises. She makes sure everyone does well. Blessed to have had her
I had Lisa as my lab instructor and she was amazing. I think it's really rare to come across great instructors that are strict but reasonable in their marking. She outlined the importance of the skills learnt and how necessary it was to do them correctly (hence strictness) but knew evaluations were stressful and gave prompts or a chance to breathe
