Komal Bhasin

Komal is an amazing prof. She genuinely cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Found social policy challenging but if you come to class she makes the material understandable and speaks in a way where you can understand. I was surprised at how much I learned in her class. She repeats important concepts constantly.

Komal is an amazing instructor. Words cannot describe how genuine and down-to-earth she is. She makes class worth going to and very engaging. She makes you critically think and is always open to help her students. She wants her students to do well and that is what makes her a great instructor. You must take her class! Switch into if it possible! :)

Komal was my professor for SWP402 . She is an incredible person, she makes topics that are normally difficult to digest, very easy to understand and relate to on a personal level. She is an excellent person to talk to about feedback for assignments. She is also a caring professor that wants the best for her students and wants them to succeed.

Like was already said, Komal is hard to put into words! They won't do her much justice. Hands down one of the best prof's at Ryerson. Komal's passion is evident. Kind, funny, smart as all hell and an articulate speaker. Within my program, she's widely a favourite. Her practical approach to 2nd year's most dense course is SO helpful. Take her class!

There'll be times you love her & times you hate her. She often uses a group-work approach in class which is helpful & stimulates discussion, but wastes a lot of time. She has very poor time management and gets annoying at times, BUT she's relatable, a generous marker, and really wants to see her students succeed. "Got it?"

Talks way too fast & doesn't have a comprehensive flow in her lectures. She often repeats the same stuff over & over which wastes a lot of time. She's very knowledgable about what she teaches but that's not enough to be considered a good prof. Most of the time her lectures go in one ear & out the other b/c she explains things in confusing terms.

AMAZING PROF!! Very kind and cares about what she's teaching. Know's her stuff. Give's awesome exam reviews. Helps you with your assignment.

I don't know how to describe Komal in words. She is awesome! Very passionate about the work that she does with extensive experience in the field. She provides us with a practical and theoretical perspective that makes her classes engaging and meaningful. #social_capital

Komal is probably the nicest prof you will ever have. She wants her students to succeed and will try to give you extra marks wherever needed. She gave an extension on the final paper and for the three tests throughout the course, she provides detailed test review the week before. Her lectures can be dense and boring however she is a lovely person.

Probably one of the best instructors at Rye. After taking SWP302 with her almost all of the same people switched into her section for SWP402. Quirky, super friendly, helpful, and makes the lectures really fun. Shares her experiences which is great if you want to go into policy. Tests are straightforward if you know the slides and take notes
