Karen Sebesta

Karen is a fantastic lecturer and a hilarious person. She's been in the industry long enough that she doesn't have time for nonsense, but handles it respectfully and professionally. Her lectures make 2 hours go by like nothing, and her lab materials are engaging and relatively easy. If you pay any attention, you should get near 100% in this class.

Karen Sebesta is a no bull**** kinda prof because she knows her stuff and understands how to teach it effectively. She would often give feedback on people's work in front of a lecture of 200 people, but it was concise and helpful, never unjustly critical. This class is the easiest class I've ever taken, but you can't miss a single class. Take it!

Very knowledgeable. She has a lot of experience and amazing stories. The work wasn't too difficult - very fundamental. Great way to start off Year 1 in Media Prod!

she's nice and head strong. lectures aren't mandatory cause the slides are common sense to be honest. just go to the lab and you'll be fine

Karen's career expertise make her the perfect teacher of this course. While her and Brian have very different teaching styles, I feel like Karen gives you the exact guidance needed in a live television setting- a little bit of tough love. I enjoyed this class with her as my professor.

I liked this class and believe that I learned quite a bit through her teaching style and guest speakers.

Not really lectures, it is more like a Q&A for her to engage with. Lectures were not important and were not helpful, labs were great. Lectures were more meant for people that can't read outlines for assignments.

She's so harsh on girls. its really rude and degrading. She's good at what she does but very 'my way or the highway' type when this is literally a creative course. Theres a difference between us doing this camera work in the real world vs. a safe environment. She thinks everything is in the real world which is fair but if you make a mistake- cooked

She is incredibly knowledgeable and knows the industry well. The class is boring and you can skip the lectures but she is fun!

This course is very chill and the score gives fairly, you can easily get a higher mark
