i like his lectures and he is funny and actually makes engaging lectures waow. He made popular culture more interesting i thought it was gonna be an easy boring class. His assignments are very easy and you could do the quizzes online!
nice guy but mark's hard for 0 reason at all. kind of a nutjob as well lol always talking about his gambling addiction and seems like he may be under the influence at times not going to lie. i really do not get why some marks were taken off when all instructions were followed. seems like he does not want people to do well
Good ratings for a reason. Funniest prof i've ever had. Made you actually want to come to class. Do not get too comfortable because this is not a bird course you still have to study, but the prof is accommodating and makes it so you don't have to study too much, as long as you put in some effort you are fine. Engaging and great teaching skills
He was given this class at the last minute, so I didn't know what to expect. However, he is very funny and kind. This class consisted of weekly participation, three quizzes, a presentation, and a final essay. His marking was overall fairly good, and it doesn't require a lot of effort to succeed in his classes. I would love to take him again.
Dale is so passionate about what he teaches! I wasn't super interested in learning about sports, but needed the UL, he made it an engaging class I could understand. Got a B for the course cause I didnt do the weekly participations, but I got an A for the essay & presentation. He's a chill/casual prof, so he jokes & swears in class, but idm tbh.
For SOC478* His unprofessionalism is his boon and bane. He's funny and relatable, but his lectures are messy and fail to go in-depth. Has also said he wouldn't be here if he wasn't paid, which, fair, get your dough, but don't tell your students that? Unfortunately, his opinions colour his grading scheme, and his feedback sounds quite hostile.
I'm from OCAD, and I really like this professor. He's a very nice person who cares about his students. The assignments are very simple and not difficult, and he's considerate of his students and listens to their ideas.
3 closed-book tests, one pres, one exam, weekly discussions. Prof is funny, young, nice, easy marker, but the tests were annoying to study for. Prof cut one hour from the split lecture, and the remainder doesn't usually run full 2 hours. Readings are not mandatory, just go to class. Some interesting concepts for sure, but very fast paced. 8/10 prof
Very fun professor. Always arrives late and takes a while to get set up. Preparing for tests is kind of difficult since its based on lecture slides. He doesn't really articulate the content in his slides well. Don't get me wrong, he makes things very interesting and fun; but he doesn't really cover course content well.
probably the funniest prof you'll have. he does ramble on but he seems passionate about his job somewhat lol. ngl I stopped going to his lectures which you probably shouldn't skip especially since his grading is based on mostly tests which are in person (slides lack content). There was also a pre-recorded presentation and an exam for this class.
