He was ok, but would not take a course from him again.
The people complaining are whiners. For this course and program to have any value it SHOULD be challenging. This isnt kindergarten- its a university level course. That said, the professors lectures could be more informative. Lots of self-learning involved here.
Exams/Assignments are too tough keeping in view that many students are from non-IT backgrounds.
Nice guy if you speak to him, but a poor teacher. Doesn't seem to care that for many this is their first introduction to the area. Material students are quizzed on and taught is not reflected well in the exam content. Get ready to spend most of your time searching for material online or being guided through questions via the program tutor.
Although the course says you dont need to have a programming background this is not true, and the teacher doesnt explain the concepts as deeper as the students need. The class runs in a fast pace and you barely have time to process the information.
Without YouTube, prepare to fail his courses. Poor communicator of ideas, reads off slides, and doesn't even give an effort to make his students succeed.
Not an effective communicator of ideas. When by your admission 60% of your class did not grasp a concept that is a failing on you as an instructor. This isn't a student issue, you missed it or were too light on it. Rather than blaming the failings on your students when the %>50 thats on you.
One of the best prof at Ryerson. very helpful and caring. He teaches how to be a self-learner and think out of the box.
Nice instructor. Clear and organized. Passionate about the content and very approachable. Genuinely want to help students to learn more. Helpful TAs. Love his class and will recommend it to anybody.
