She is quite nice and tries to keep her leatures short. Her class is hard if your not there in-person or not asking questions. Studying for quizzes are important, that's where a lot of the marks go. She is quite approachable so don't be afraid to express your needs.
RMP does not have the course code FSN503, but that's what I took with T. For a class called Critical Issues in Design, she did not teach a single critical issue; instead, she spoke of designers she personally enjoyed and then quizzed us on specific details of their runway line. Everything that was spoken about was very out of touch and unbearable.
A very unnecessary course with little to no course work. A three hour lecture allotted time yet only 30 minutes used for actual lecture material. She talks about a lot of personal/ not so school related content and felt like it was a waste of time
I would recommend for every fashion student to take her class. Tanya is not the best speaker, and not the best at doing demos, but she has so much care for her students and is always accessible if you need extra help or feedback/clarity regarding assignments. She is very accommodating so deadlines are not strict and assignments are clear.
I found her class to be a little tough especially because it's a materiality class that was done online due to the pandemic so a lot of the learning escaped through the cracks. But prof is genuinely very kind and understanding of students. I felt she was a tough grader and hard to impress but she gives detailed feedback to reflect on.
Tanya is super sweet and extremely talented. She's really understanding and wants to help you succeed. But she tends to be a really tough grader and although she provides in-line feedback, it's quite unclear what she's actually looking for. Also, this class is likely better in-person because I honestly did not look forward to the online classes.
Tanya is so sweet. I had this class and I'd totally do it agin. She provides very detailed feedback which is very helpful. Also isn't strict with due dates. Just be super creative with your work and explore as much as you can. Do that and you've secured a good grade.
Tanya is one of my favourite profs I've ever had. She is so kind and caring and she is one of the few the really wants you to be creative and do things the way they'll work for you. She's also super fun to chat with and is actually quite funny. She is so understanding and is super lenient. You can tell she really cares about her students. Love her!
Tanya is absolutely a wonderful teacher to have. She's one of the few teachers in the program that inspires creativity and encourages you to push your own boundaries. She is a bit of a tough marker but she has good advice to help you improve for next time. I highly recommend her!
Tanya was a fun and quite eccentric prof! However, I found that she didn't give enough constructive criticism. She'd say your drawings are amazing during class but then give you a low grade on the project. She's also strict on class attendance, if you miss work periods it will show in your grade.
