Silvano Guzzo

Did not enjoy having Professor Guzzo - his tests made no sense compared to what he had learned in the lectures. He was an easy marker for the essay though. He had very strong opinions about gender roles and the roles of police... was not impressed with some of these opinions.

Easy to get an A or A-. If you want an A+ don't take it because no one got one (he posts the grade distribution). The reason no one got an A+ is because he makes 10-20% of his MC tests extremely poorly worded questions or questions with more than one right answer. He also pretty obviously used AI to mark the essays.

He marks the essays which are most of your mark with immense amounts of disdain. You will definitely get a bad grade on the essay if he disagrees with your take no matter how much evidence you use to back your claims. He also refuses to read the entire sentence before making a note.

This class is so easy it's 3 25% online open book tests and a 25% essay. People saying he's a strict grader on the essay are capping he tells you how he wants the essay to be written, just follow that and you'll get a decent mark on it. He even has a slideshow and a video of himself explaining how he wants it done.

All I can say is switch professors if you can!

For a first year student he's really suited for the task, and as long as you follow his examples for essay, you will get a good grade. His lectures were interesting as well. The ta i had for this class was absolutely amazing.

Honestly I liked the way he talks but its repetitive. He seems very nice but not very approachable outside class. He would not give you extra time for an assignment but he seems cool and nice to me. Not very friendly but interesting

He was very blunt and super critical. Some of the things he says is definitely on the problematic side and how he choose to run his class it's basically impossible to leave being ready for the test. But it's super easy to get through his course you just need to do everything. But genuinely so mean

Hilarious guy will definitely make you laugh at least once in a lecture. Like all the tests, the exam was also online, gave us the whole week to do it and was very easy if you understand the course content. Essays are graded fair. 10/10 class guy.

The professor is hella chill. Going to his class was always a vibe. The course itself is easy with 3 online tests which you have one week to do and one final essay. All worth 25%. Lot of the comments are false, he's realistic and gives some great advice on the real world. People just to soft nowadays. Great professor and would recommend taking
