She is amazing and she reads from the slide but she gives her own input too!! The midterm and exam includes videos we watch in class and questions aren't that much of a surprise. Go to class and take notes and do the textbook notes. Don't skip the tutorials as well.. Overall great and easy course... just put the effort !!
Tingting is always available for help. Her midterm was long but final exam is fairly easy. She knows her HR things. Love to chat with her in person!
She is very nice and wants you to do well, HOWEVER, her midterm was no help as it was too much to remember and very long in a short period of time. She tells you the midterm is done hard on purpose, idk if thats a good or bad thing... seminars were interesting, but she is a pretty tough marker. All in all, she's great and her final was easy.
Love professor Zhang! She so is sweet and caring and accommodating. The only thing is with the assignments myself and my group felt like the instructions were a bit more vague than we'd like. Speaking to her one on one after the assignments she gives really great feedback though. Answers emails relatively quickly and cares for students .
Professor Zhang is a sweet lady although she looks serious in class. She knows HR very well, and she talks about current news and topics in class. I learned a lot of HR from her. I don't like the lecture because the class is too big, but tutorial is a lot better. She is very clear about what's in the midterm. Read the textbook.
Only pro- she's nice. However, lectures are super dry and waaay too fast-paced. She flies through the lectures, not giving anyone enough time to copy anything down. Plus she doesn't post full Powerpoint notes online so you have to come to class for the notes, or take your own. Midterm was too long as well, didn't finish- HR shouldn't be difficult.
She asked interesting questions. I liked the in-class discussion and the group work.
I experienced some challenges during my group project. My prof actually helped us to resolve the conflicts and gave me a fair chance to get the mark I deserved. She looks very serious, but she is very helpful if you are willing to talk to her. Her seminar was more interesting than her lecture. I guess large lecture was meant to be boring.
HR is tedious, detail oriented. Her lectures reflect this. She's fine. The material just doesn't lend itself well to the lecture format. I skipped many classes to read the material myself, more slowly at a pace I could absorb. Got a 92% in the class, so it worked. I'd love to talk to her about HR stuff -- if only the classes weren't so big.
She actually made me consider HR as a potential career path. Her lectures are boring but her powerpoints are basically what is on exams. She gaves students a fair chance to upgrade their marks,Study her powerpoints and its an easy A. She is very helpful and loves her students and wants them to do well. Take her better than other MHR profs by a mile
