The content of the lecture is short, the homework is simple, and the exam is difficult

If you're like most Rye students who have a hard time getting a 50% in courses that require you to do basic algebra and aspire to make 40k out of university, then this course is going to be hard for you. Otherwise take this course because Jason is an ex-banker and gives you real insight into the world of high finance.

Excellent instructor with adequate exams and quick email responses. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good class experience.

The worst online class ever. Period. He posted two course outlines and both of them had wrong information. Informed us 20 days before the midterm on which outline touse. No lectures, no audio ppts, just bare slides that have 0 working for calculations. Refrain from taking him for this class if you care about the quality of effort. Shame on RyeU HR.

Jason Wong is an excellent professor, he clearly knows the content very well and knows how to teach it. He is way more generous when it comes to marking than the other professors. Put in the work and you will get an easy A with Jason.

Very confused with these other ratings. Jason Wong is one of the kindest and most caring professors. He goes out of his way to email students, congratulating them for scoring high on midterms or quizzes. He skips a lot of stuff in lectures because he expects you to have done the readings. However, he is extremely generous in giving out marks.

Hes literally the most vague and useless professor. I dont think he knows how to teach and its even worse when this course has like 20 chapters to learn. He doesnt use any type of visuals/excel to help us through problems so you are basically on your own for the duration of the course. If you have the option of not taking him, please dont.

This prof talks most useless stuff and not material work, it is very hard to stay focused when he keeps going off topic.

He does not teach us anything. You have to attend class because he gives us pop quizzes. Terrible prof, one of the worst profs in the finance department for sure.

He does not teach us anything. He keeps on talking and talking and doesn't do any in-class questions or gives us any examples. He's a useless prof who doesn't know how to shut up.
