Prof Ilmi is by far the best lecturer I have ever had, he is extremely accommodating and easy to approach. He connects almost every one of his points back to a study and really breaks down concepts for ease of understanding. Note taking is a must, but be warned, his exams are lethal!
Awful professor. Verbally abusive. Not helpful, avoid at all costs.
As other reviews say, he is unorganized and you won't learn much in class. However, you can do good in the class with a little bit of effort, and it's an overall easy class if you need it for the credit. He is very understanding and lenient and asks students for suggestions before making decisions for the class.
Not a good prof if u want to learn. Very lenient u can put little to no effort into the course and still receive an A. All lectures have little correlation to the course. I dont think I learned anything and I was the only student who participated. Often expected things from students without giving enough info to fully understand. Wont be challenged
a very unorganized and confusing class BUT I would take him again because he is very understanding and you can convince him to adjust things, very easy to get an A+.
Dr. Ilmi is a great person and is so easy to get along with. However, I find that his slides can be somewhat hard to understand but it could simply be the content of the class. It takes somewhat longer to receive marks and the essay instructions are in PowerPoint which was unclear to me. Marks easily. Overall, not a bad class and professor.
This professor is great at being very fair in marking, and generally if you attend lectures, and do the assignments as he states, its a very easy A. Plus while yes, his lectures are content heavy, they are what you need to focus on to study for midterm and finals. On top of that, the textbook/readings he assigns are no more than 10-15 pages.
Does not have a clue how to use D2L. Our papers were submitted via email. Lectures are incomplete. I believe one of the weeks he uploaded a lecture that lasted 30 seconds. Brilliant mind but cannot figure out technology for the life of him. Yes, he asks questions and does not provide answers. Perhaps smoking a fatty before his lecture would help.
this guy doesn't teach, his lectures aren't important, he doesn't care about sources or anything, essays are if you know it, write it and you'll get an easy mark. this man is lost in the sauce.
