I am used to getting great marks, but this professor was absolutely terrible. There is way too much content she expects you to know for the exam, that it is almost impossible to do well in. Most people dropped this course after the midterm because they were in shock with how hard the test was and the mark they received. What a terrible experience.
Dr. Woodley is very knowledgeable, but cannot teach to save her life. Her exams are extremely difficult and not reflective of what is actually taught in-class. Be prepared to teach yourself a lot of content for the semester. If you don't need this class, AVOID. It was a nightmare and will likely drop your GPA. Never got a bad mark until I met her.
Her anatomy class is sooooo hard. She only uses images on her slides, so you really need to read the textbook if you want to do well on this course. Her exam questions are very hard, and how she organizes the question are tough (e.g. A and B are correct, two of above are correct, all of above are correct etc.) Therefore, you need to know the stuff
Woodley is a very knowledgeable prof and her testing can be seen as hard because it's not the standard we know. HOWEVER, her testing allows for people to do better because of her bonuses, which is how i did well in her course. If you put time to study regularly for anatomy, with textbook figures and her study guide images, you'll do well.
For a second year course, she has some very high expectations. Her lectures are sub-par and everything she says can be found in the textbook. Her midterms are extremely difficult and weighed heavily.
Who else got completely bodied by the midterm today? Would not recommend if you want a decent GPA.
She definitely knows her stuff, but that doesn't mean she's good at teaching it. Her lectures are dry but so is the (dense) content-you'd probably do just as good, if not better, by reading the text-it explains the concepts pretty well. Studying & knowing the material doesn't mean you'll get a good grade. If you don't need the course don't take it!
Nancy is passionate about what she teaches, but her lectures are very dry. She is also not that approachable. In terms of the course, the tests are very hard! I seem to had found the finals to be much easier than the midterms. The concept maps are a super easy A. Nancy is great, but don't take this course unless you absolutely need to! #regrets
Dr. Woodley is a very good professor and does a great job at explaining the material. What makes this course hard is heavy content in a short amount of time. I think some people find it difficult because its less interactive than high school biology. Her tests are very fair and straightforward and shes very approachable.
Nancy is great! Her test is fair, but course materials are so heavy. Be ready to study!
