Overall, great professor!
Great professor. Stay on-top of the readings, assignment and quizzes and you'll do well.
Professor Scofield is an amazing professor. The course content was interesting, relevant, and delivered exceptionally. The readings were long, yet engaging and very interesting. I'd highly recommend taking this class.
He's very knowledgeable about the course--when he's present. He records lectures the night before and posts them at class start time, then sometimes shows up halfway through for discussion. If not, it's suddenly on Zoom with only hours notice. He often takes weeks (or never) to answer emails and there are weekly quizzes and mandatory readings.
his class is pretty easy, but it is hybrid so do with that what you will. He seemed like a pretty chill guy. The weekly Perusall readings are mandatory to do with annotations, but if you do them, it's free marks essentially. Not a bad prof at all, but not anything amazing. Final project took awhile to grade, but it's pretty easy.
Seen the guy once all semester. Not super hard to get a decent grade though. The course won't specifically say "hybrid course" but he makes it one. If you don't like that, run and don't look back.
The laziest professor around. I signed up for the in-person REM300, yet he made the decision that it was a "hybrid class" where for the first hour and a half of class we would have to watch his pre-recorded lectures, and he would show up to class an hour and a half late. He would also let us know an hour before class if he even felt like coming in.
David puts in a lot of efforts in his lectures. lectures are recorded and he makes sure to answer all questions about assignments/tests. Course material and weekly quizzes were easy. He is very knowledgeable about REM. Overall, i liked the course structure and enjoyed listening to his lectures.
For an introductory course this is absolutely horrible. This was supposed to be an in-person class but most of it was online. He posted pre-recorded lectures the night before and his teaching style is VERY boring. Mandatory to complete quizzes after every lecture, and had to complete readings multiple times throughout the week. DO NOT recommend.
For an intro to real estate, this was PURPOSELY hard for no reason. He words things awfully, is inconsiderate, and his tests are unbearably hard. Never felt more anger in my life. I'm sorry, not sorry.
