Adrian Ma

Adrian is one of the best professors I have ever had! He was truly an amazing educator and I came out of this class with a clear understanding of my goals as a journalist aspiring to work in digital media. His lectures are easy to follow and each assignment was clear and engaging. If you take this class you will not be disappointed!!!

If you are lucky enough to get Adrian as your instructor, DO NOT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED. He is incredibly good at constructive feedback, he is accessible, lenient, not to mention funny, relatable and just an all around good time. He grades accordingly and is very good at explaining what you missed and how you can improve. The BEST.

Lovely and amazing! He puts a lot into the class and tries to go above and beyond to introduce us into the world of news production. I loved his lectures, they were clear, short, we always learned something and they were very useful.

Amazing professor! In fact, one the most engaging experiences I've had in school. Adrian is so friendly, supportive, and helpful. His response times for emails are quick, and he explains thoroughly. His depth of understanding is what stands out, the nuances of student and material. His execution of the course via Zoom was his greatest asset.

Amazing young, knowledgable prof. A lab instructor for this course under Gavin and he always gets to the point even at times Gavin couldn't. Class environment was professional and engaging. Generous w/ grades and feedback if he thinks you really earned it. Camping his section b4 open enrollment was among the best decisions I made at this school.

Threw away my chance to pass this class when my life started falling apart. Adrian did everything he could to try and get me to pass and Ill forever be grateful of that

Adrian is super nice, funny and chill! He is really interested in what he teaches and extremely enthusiastic to teach students. Plus, he ends class within an hour - the best! TAs mark pretty fairly, if you feel like you deserve a better mark, just talk to them and they'll help you out! (do it throughout the semester not the very end though)

Adrian is an amazing prof who cares about you and your success. He's the kind of teacher who's for the students. Not only is he super caring, but he's so funny and engaging! He teaches really well and always has great lectures to show his students. You can tell he has a lot of experience in the field because he brings so much to the classroom.

If you get a chance to be in one of Adrians classes, do it. Hes fresh out of the newsroom and knows exactly what journos need to learn in order to survive in the digital age of journalism. But what really makes him a standout prof is that he sees potential in every student and will put in effort to help you reach that potential. Best jrn prof!
