The class I took was actually CMN 316, and it was amazing. The lectures can be a lot to sit through, but she made it super fun and engaging.

Hard marker, vague instructions on assignments, pointless lectures. Doesn't really test you on what is in lecture. Assignments need to be more related to the content! How are you expecting us to write a grant proposal but you don't even teach us about it in class?

Acts like she's teaching quantum physics... unnecessarily hard marker when the assignments are literally infographics and making videos. One of those profs that takes off random marks because her ego doesn't want to award full marks. Makes this class hard to show that her PhD isn't a waste of an education. She should not be an educator!

Has a PhD in communication yet it is the skill she lacks the most. Very short when responding to emails that ask for assignment clarification. Too much attitude for someone that's old enough to be my parent. Attempts to be “cool”- just comes off as a mean girl who pretends to like you. I hope she reads these and reflects on her immature behaviour.

her lectures are super engaging and uses practical and humorous examples to understand the concepts. just take notes in class and you'll do well on the midterm and final. my only plight is that the assignment instructions were a bit vague and unclear.

HORRIBLE DONT TAKE HER. EVIL.

This was my most stressful course and it was all due to the prof and GA. The material was very good unlike other profs who change the course and teach whatever they want. PLEASE take this is advice before taking a class with her. She is not against students but she gets offened when you ask questions, is rude and yelles. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!

The people that dislike her just got a bad grade because they did not participate in class and/or did not read the rubrics. Her rubrics (not assignment briefs lol) are straightforward. I thought her lectures were great - engaging and funny. Just go to class, take notes, participate, and KNOW the concepts. The exams are handwritten, so be prepared!

I never understood her. It honestly is so upsetting that she is chair of procom but is so vulgar together her students. She gave us unclear instructions for an upcoming assignment we had and told us on the day the assignment was due that we all did it wrong. She yells and disrespects students if they ask a question. She yelled at me. Dont take her.

Her instructions were very unclear, and you never actually know what she wants you to do for assignments. She also goes on tantrums if students ask for advice, and gives us random readings that don't matter to the course. She also makes the class feel more science than communications and has hand-written in-person exams. Do not recommend her class
