Midterms and exams are usually curved, but its best to stay near the class average to succeed. Prof is nice and questions similar to lectures appear on the midterm. Final exam is harder but you should use the posted exam to practice, since its almost similar. Course should be taken in the regular semester, unless Tooraj is teaching in the spring.
Exams are hard and makeups are harder, but everything gets curved to the moon.
This prof has been teaching this class for over 25 years and he truly knows his stuff. If you don't understand a concept, he explains it perfectly and repeats until you get it. He gives many examples and hints to prepare students for exams as he cares for his student's success. Attending lectures and doing practice problems is highly recommended.
Teaches you properly on how to do the questions and you can expect anything he covered to be on the exams.
Professor Yousefi's lectures cover many examples which aid greatly in understanding the material, so it is important to attend them. He goes step by step to ensure the class is not falling behind. He hands out the thermodynamics tables during lecture and taught the class how to use them which is very important for the second half of the course.
Decent prof. Gives good example problems and shows how to solve any problem from each chapter. Exam q's are very similar to in-class examples, sometimes even exact.
Great teacher , attend lectures to better understand content. Midterm is kinda tough but easy to approach.
This prof told me that when he is marking exams, he checks to see if the final answer is correct first. If it is, then he'll look into your process to solving it. If not, it's a flat 0. He gives no part marks. He will tell you one thing in person, and then he forgets about it. He doesn't respond to emails, and his lectures are a waste of time.
professor is great and very engaging, pays off to attend his class
One thing- attend the lectures. The other thing- ATTEND THE LECTURES. The most important thing to know is that his test questions will be very similar to the examples he goes over in class. Also- ask questions if you don't understand what's happening in the example, he'll try to explain it to a point until you get it.
