Henry Navarro

DROP HIM ASAP!! Possibly one of the worst professors I've ever had. I was blessed that I wasn't in his section and was instead marked by a TA, I heard from people in his sections that it was even worse. Doesn't teach at all, instead posts textbook chapters to read. Our final project literally forced us to culturally appropriate (I didn't do it).

While Henry is friendly enough, his lectures are dragged out, not engaging and lack a clear motive. His instructions/briefs are unclear and leave more questions than answers. During critiques, he will sing the praises of your concept but is an extremely hard marker. His feedback doesn't reflect the grades given and rarely gives anything tangible.

Really terrible professor. Lectures are useless and not really applicable to the class. Hard grader and makes it hard to pass even if you do all the assignments and attend classes regularly. Doesn't really seem to know what he's talking about half the time.

I'm not sure why he is teaching an art direction class because it doesn't seem like he has any knowledge of art direction or photography whatsoever. As for assignments, his expectations are unclear of what he actually wants but then when grading he adds very specific requirements. Honestly really brutal for grading/ feedback.

Honestly good luck understanding what hes saying. Hes a nice guy but not the best at teaching.

He is a very nice guy but this class was a disappointment. His approach in teaching was to give us work and tell us to figure it out ourselves. In addition, it basically takes him the entire semester to return grades.

Really tough grader but doesn't explain criteria.. makes it impossible to get higher than a C in his class. Don't take his classes if you need a high GPA. Online multiple choice exams with access to all his slides and your notes, and the class average for it was still mid 70's.

Henry had useless lectures, no real connection was made to the course itself. A real waste of time. Expected leads and team members in the groups to just know what to do during the class work time. No guidance or real learning opportunity in this class. Henry gave horrible instructions and mark hard in areas he never fully explained. Worst prof

Henry is the sweetest man, he is very knowledgable about all of the topics he speaks about and clearly has lots of industry experience. Sometimes its hard to understand his points clearly but if you ask for clarification, he will be more than happy to help you further!

Henry was one of the worst profs I have ever had. While it is obvious he is knowledgable on graphic design, he is not good at teaching others. New projects are extremely unclear when introduced and Henry is not helpful with answering any questions. He is awful at responding to emails and gives little to no feedback on assignments.
