I wish she was not off right now because I would LOVE to be in her class again. I learned so much from her. She gave good feedback on my writing. Class was a seminar. Her discussions were interesting and engaging. I felt like her class was such a safe space to contribute and learn. Not a bird course but she's the best.
This course changed my life. I learned so much about international security and gender. Watch out though--she's super strict about plagiarism. She reported a few of my friends for not using quotation marks which seems excessive.
Attendance is not mandatory and won't be penalized for attendance. lectures are all pre recorded with a few readings each week and the options to join zoom for questions each week. gives choice on what assignments we want to do. course is all writing and no texts. never taken a politics course before and never attended class, finished with an 80%
She was a good professor. She doesn't reply to emails at all, unclear on her marking. doesn't seem like she cared about her students at all.
Very passionate and knowledgeable about the subject matter, I definitely learned a lot. Good at explaining if you didn't understand something. Marked harder than expected, but still got a good grade. 40% weekly activities, 30% take home exam, 30% essay. Would recommend her as a prof!
I love this Professor. She is super sweet and explains the concept as best as she could. She is a really fair marker too.
Women, War and Peace was one of the best classes I've taken in the past three years. Dr. Anderson is ridiculously smart and passionate about women's issues. The readings are interesting and cover a variety of topics. Dr. Anderson wants you to learn, she wants you to be inspired, and she wants to enhance your experience at Ryerson in any way she can
Prof Anderson is terrific. Really knows her stuff, is doing cool valuable research as well. Lots of videos that you need to watch many times or take detailed notes on. You also need to memorize facts and figures from the textbook. Her multiple choice exams are worded confusingly so you have to go over them many times. all in all, great prof though
I had the pleasure of having Dr. Anderson as my professor for the second time this semester. Women, War and Peace was the most enjoyable course I have taken in my undergraduate experience. It is a seminar class, and your grade is made up of an essay, a seminar presentation, seminar discussion, and reflections on weekly readings. !00% recommend!
