Great Prof. Online notes are excellent and easy to read. Midterm and Exam are very fair and designed to stretch your thinking, but there is no doubt that calculus takes practice and an A+ is very achievable. He has a standard teaching style that gets the job done. I would definitely take another course with him.
The professor can be a little less lecture heavy
He will teach 2+2 but the finals will be derivative of 2x-3 it's hard for no reason or just in a form I've never seen
One of the worst profs ever and doesn't even care about students
Coudnt find the course for MTH607, he doesn't upload any notes or does not indicate what chapters from the textbook are coming. His lectures are also very dry and dull and just write notes for the whole lecture for you to copy paste and doesnt explain anything properly.
stopped posting lecture slides cause one dude disrupted the class. Ended the term by giving an announcement at the end, saying "Happy Halloween". He thinks he's funny, making these corny jokes. AVOID taking the course with him at all costs
Lectures heavy but midterm and final were pretty fair
The notes prepared for this course they were easy to understand and clear for the most part. Reading over them after class usually helped to clear up confusion. The problem was he stopped posting them due to a student causing problems so everyone had to go to the textbook. Not only that but he's a strict grader. Take someone else for this course.
3rd time with Alireza. Honestly a chill guy, he's good at teaching application courses like 141 and 240, but for a more theory heavy course like 514, he glosses over basic concepts a little too quickly so it becomes hard to follow the rest. His midterm and final were very fair and reasonable. If you aren't a bub, he can be very nice and helpful.
