I had the amazing opportunity of being Larry's student over 3 years ago for my Audit course. He is amazing at what he does, he tends to explain concepts with real life examples and ensures the concept is easily understood. He was the best professor I have encountered and has really had a lasting impact on my career growth.
For a 6 hour lecture, there's a lot that you have to go through but you will be fine as long as you review your material from AFA518 and AFA708. Make sure to keep up with each week and know how to apply these materials in a case-based setting. Otherwise, solid professor and teaches the material really well, will have to work for your grade.
Larry is such a good professor and overall a great person as well. He tells it like it is which in preferable in my judgement. What is also so great about Larry is that he is extremely passionate about what he is teaching and shares his interest as much as he can with his students. Midterm and final are similar to content in class.
Great professor, he was able to teach all the material that is clear to understand and made the course really interesting to learn. There were two group assignments that were graded easily, the midterm was marked pretty tough, but the final exam was fair. Make sure you do all the readings and review the questions that he takes up in class.
The GOAT of auditing. You can tell that he has a lot of experience in the field. He teaches so well that auditing becomes fun and understandable, one of the best profs at Ryerson.
Larry is clear. Makes difficult concepts easy to understand. Cares about his students. One of the better teachers i have had the pleasure of having.
Larry is an absolute auditing weapon. Lectures are among the best of any professor at Ryerson (entertaining and straight to the point). Watching and making strong notes on his "pre-recordings" are crucial for success in this class. Lastly, don't waste any time on the textbook questions, focus on doing his assignments and custom homework questions.
Larry is very clear and easy to follow on lectures. Hes very passionate about the internal audit process which helps make lectures enjoyable. Tests are fair and very similar to group assignments. Make sure you go to class because he goes over examples although his pre-lectures are enough to understand basic knowledge of the chapter.
Class Act! Wonderful experience in AFA708. Larry is a caring professor who loves the content he teaches. Not many times you get a professor that goes through content and class problems like Larry does. His class is easily manageable and structured properly, making it easy to stay on track with work. A must take in whatever class he teaches. 5 stars
I have taken audit 12 years ago and the currency of education ran out for my CFE. so i took the course again. He had a great way to explain the material and his exams really focus on case writing which is great practice for the CFE. The assignment are key to really understanding the material. gives great explanation during lectures.
