This course entails a large written component but you do learn a variety of writing formats and styles. It is an interesting class because of Lauren and her slides. She is very personable and understands the world from a prof and student perspective. She gives great advice throughout her lectures so pay attention to her little, but big life tips.
Not the worst professor I've met so far. She's VERY picky with the tiniest little details for assignments. It's pretty annoying but manageable.
Very poor teaching qualities yet grades as if she is the best teacher. Also not sure how she is qualified. Very dissatisfied with her work at Ryerson, never had such a poor experience with a professor as I did with her.
Horrible. Horrible. Tough grader for a communications class you just have to be literate to pass. Not qualified either.
Horrible teacher and horrible marker for no reason. switch out immediately.
hard marker for no reason. supposed to be a bird course but she takes it too seriously. she does attempt to make the class enjoyable though.
HARD MARKER FOR NO REASON. ITS CMN AND SHE TOOK IT SO SERIOUSLY
An extremely hard marker for no reason at all. Takes everything so seriously, I suggest to take this course online if you can. She's nice in class and is enjoyable to listen to but that's about it
As mentioned, CMN279 is a challenging course. Getting an A- is already a blessing for me. In terms of materials delivery, Prof. Lauren did an excellent job and is easily accessible outside of class to discuss assignments. If you want to get 80+, make use of the office hours where she will help you improve your assignment.
