He is a very passionate technology law lawyer. His tests and final were fair. The lectures were hard to remain interested in because of the content. He got through the lectures within a good time frame but they were not very engaging. Overall a good choice.
I met with this prof to go over what I did wrong in my final, only to find out I didn't do anything wrong. I asked him why I got an average below an 80 if everything was correct, and he said he simply "does not give out perfect grades". He took off .25-1 mark from every question because I could have been more "nuanced" in a limited 2 hour exam lol
Gabriel is a very good prof willing to make time for his students. Grading criteria is fair. Participating in the discussions each week is a very good way to study for the exams as the questions are similarly structured. Content is not too difficult although theres quite a bit of reading. Only issue I has was we only had 1 hour for the midterm.
Really nice prof who truly cares about his students. He is always happy to answer your questions and inquires about assignments and marks you received. The course was tuff, lots of readings and contents were hard. However, this professor made it better. I would recommend taking this course as online if you are willing to read 25 pages every week.
Take this course online. Easy participation marks (10%) which you have to answer only two questions every week. Easy one essay worth 10%. The case study at the back of each chapter and the online module questions are really helpful in studying for the midterm (30%) and final (50%). No surprises! Just keep up with the readings! Best prof for LAW!
He was very nice and responsive whenever I had questions about concepts, the syllabus or assignments. He is a nice marker when it comes to the assignment and exams (compared to the in class Ryerson Law professors). The midterm and final are very long but that goes for all Law122 classes.
Gabriel is a very humble and down to earth person. If needed, he will be there for his students at any given time and date. His midterm and exams are very fair. Reading the textbook is a must, don't read the online module and expect to do well in the course. Midterm was a mix of MCQ'S (3) and essay questions (5) while the final was all written.
After hearings so many horror stories about other people taking this course I was so worried I wouldn't like this course at all. Initially the course seemed a little daunting in the sense that there is a lot of reading and writing to do but it really isn't all that bad. Gabriel marks very fairly and is really reasonable in terms of expectations.
I enjoyed his class. A bit hard but taking the course online is definitely more challenging than in-class.
