Horner is a great prof. He makes tests open book and open ended so they are easy. He is so accommodating and kind to everyone, and encourages class discussions about actually interesting things. One of the best profs at TMU
He is a nice professor, but disorganized (don't expect anything in a timely manner). An unnecessarily hard marker with no clear grading criteria. He makes the participation grade look easily attainable, saying you are doing well and that you can contribute every week, but he still won't let you do well. Impossible to please and infuriating.
Amazing professor. Kind. encourages participation. Allows students to come to own conclusion. Gives fair exams and assignment. Would take him again for any class because he is passionate about what he teaches.
nice but grades very harsh
He is a very understanding and passionate professor. He makes his lectures interesting, and I find his marking scheme fair, despite people saying you cannot get an A. I got a 90 on the midterm - as it was open book, you can have all lecture & reading notes, likewise with the term essay. Participation is 10% but you can always email him.
Dan is honestly one of the best professors I've ever had. He is kind and passionate about his teaching. The only downside is his marking, he is really tough and his rubrics often aren't enough to suffice. His class contains a midterm exam, an assignment and a final exam. Overall, he's great and I'd take him again.
A nice enthusiastic prof, but very hard grader. I simply just cant get an A on anything in this class no matter how hard I try. Assignments and exams are completely just essays so if you don't like writing or getting mid grades, do not take this class.
avoid!!!!!! though an interesting lecturer and is clearly passionate about his work, does not grade students fairly. it's very difficult to do well in his class, handing out b's is probably his favourite thing to do, even if you do what he asked for! syllabus says he'll respond to emails within 2 days and the earliest he got back to me was a week.
Honestly one of the best professors. The course consisted of -Midterm Paper (open book, in class) -Assignment -Exam (open book) -Engagement (You can send emails if you don't want to talk in class) Such a caring, understanding and genuine professor. As long as you take notes in class you'll be set for the open book tests. Overall easy course!
Avoid if possible! And if you can't avoid, prepare to get no higher than a B+. Also never replies to emails. Very lazy but somehow gives a low mark when he doesn't even give clear marking criteria.
