He's so amazing, you should take him in your required course, but remember do not use AI in your exams, he can check it and mark you low points.
This course is fairly standard. You have to do 8 discussion posts weekly, which are annoying but an incredibly easy way to boost your mark as they are worth 20% of your grade. I found his grading was pretty standard - the course was online so be prepared to go through the content and slides weekly. Overall he was easily accessible via email!
Easy marker, high grades achieved with 0 to minimal effort.
Professor Michael Dick is not only a good prof but he's also a really nice person. Class wasn't hard just be prepared for work every week. Prof is understanding and genuinely cares about students it's really nice.
I recommend this course and Prof. Dick for anyone interested in improving their communication skills. The teachers provide lots of examples of how communication is important to professional fields and the readings and simulation activities are interesting and not too difficult. I found the presentation and exam tough though.
Good prof and interesting readings, including very relevant films. Also very accommodating in the switch from online to classroom. Helped ensure everyone's comfort and safety in light of COVID. My only complaint is that the exams were essay-style, but they were open-book and guidelines are clear.
Definitely well prepared and knows his stuff. Good at teaching and explaining things though I did ask some questions on the discussion board and they were answered pretty quickly. Assignments not a breeze but definitely clear instructions and criteria. I recommend him if you really want to improve your business communication.
One of the better profs because he takes time to explain materials clearly and answers questions within a reasonable wait time. This course uses modules and a simulation so lots of real-world application as you go along. Most assignments take work but instructions and grading criteria are clear. Be sure to attend the assignment and review classes!
Online course is what you make of it. Assignments and modules weren't too bad but the final test definitely requires studying and prep. Always worried about getting good feedback in large classes but Prof. Dick posted lots of information to help me put things together. Very responsive to questions on D2L and gets things back when he says he will.
