Unfortunately the main issue with Roz is that she is out of date with teaching film, everything is electronic based and it's clear she isn't familiar with it which means she doesn't give very good feedback or feedback that can be used. Or she would repeat things she said 3 times in 1 class during other's presentations about something you did.
Roz is disorganized, unhelpful, and disrespectful. Her (nonexistent) feedback is vague, subjective, and unconstructive. She doesn't know a lot about sound mixing and relies on her ears instead of db levels. She contradicts herself often and is very passive agressive Her treatment of students is EXTREMELY rude. Good luck, you're gonna need it.
Roz is a nice prof and really cares about her first years however her feedback is often hard to follow and very non-specific. She has a hard time giving objective feedback over subjective feedback. She's accommodating if you communicate with her and is willing to work with you if you request extensions before hand.
Roz is super kind, attentive, and thoughtful with her feedback. She truly cares about the work that each student does and trying to help you be better. Her slides and D2L are often all over the place but it doesn't really affect the class because it's 90% production projects.
Roz is very nice and so so supportive! She cares about everyone's films and has infinite sympathy for camera issues. D2L is slightly disorganized and assignments can be hard to understand, but if you attend class nothing is too unclear. No written work is too difficult, either. Always aim to pitch and shoot earlier than others to have extra time.
Roz is such a sweet and caring professor who genuinely cares about her students success. Her feedback can be confusing at times so be prepared to ask her about things after class.
Roz is an experienced professor who knows what she's talking about, however, she doesn't always communicate that in the clearest ways. Her criteria for assignments are vague, and you have to frequently ask for clarification. As well, she does not respond to emails. If you need something you must talk to her in class.
Roz has an infamous reputation at IMA. While she is a caring individual, her methods are dated and her notes about your films will have you scratching your head. She is a good teacher for your first year, but her knowledge and expertise don't go beyond the basic filmmaking rules you can find in a textbook.
She cares a lot which is appreciated, not much information in each lecture but the hands on projects are informative to make up for it.
