Joanne Lam

I don’t know why there are so many bad reviews about her but she’s amazing to me! She’s very nice and caring for her students. She helps us a lot during the iterative process and give good feedback to make sure we’re on right track. Unless you want to hear sweet things, then critics is not for you!

The three tags that I've described the Joanne is the complete opposite. One of the worst profs that I have ever had. Very dull, boring class and unhelpful feedback. One time one of the students asked for Joanne's previous work and she made some excuses to not show it to us. When we found her work on a website, we understood why she never showed it.

very dull and unclear. shes nice enough but if you want to learn i would not recommend taking her class.

If you get this prof I highly recommend dropping the class. Very boring and uninspiring and you will not learn anything from her. WIll not say anything about your project until final, then she will give you all the feedback you should have gotten during the year at the end.

Joanne doesn't comment as much as she should and that leaves to changes too late to fix and some embarrassing presentations. I suggest to REALLY take the initiative to ask questions and getting as much info as possible, letting her know your ideas. Joanne demands a lot per class, but she isn't strict about it. She is quite nice, just introverted.

Joanne was nothing special, she wasn't an inspiration. Very monotone and expressionless and she's fine with your project until she critiques it at the end. Another thing, takes forever to respond to emails.. Good luck
