idk vro this is sum random im hatinog on for no reason
Took this on a whim, thinking I was just filling another credit. But, by the end, I was in complete sorrow because I knew there would be no other class in my academic career that would even come near the absolute master piece this course was. It wasn't easy, but Kirsh fostered something really special—it was something I dreamed uni would've been.
one of tmu's best profs. went into this course thinking i was going to suffer but ended up absolutely loving it. content is compelling, prof is witty and despite being mostly asynchronous, course is structured to be very engaging. attendance is mandatory 1hr/week but it flies by cause it's fun. make no mistake tho, this is NOT a bird course.
Hands down one of the best professors at the university, its unfortunate that they don't have him teach other courses too—I'd take literally all of them. He's easy going, hilarious prof honestly just the best—but his courses are not easy bird courses you've have to put a lot of effort if you wanna pass, but if you study hard you'll be alright.
Loved this class so much. Prof Kirsh has a dry witty humour that anyone cool should appreciate. If you participate and try a bit, you'll get an A+. It's not a bird course (it's ADVANCED astro), but I hate math and have never taken physics so you can get through it with some effort. Up to 4% in extra credit (I got over 100 in the course), so do that
This professor will go above and beyond for his students. He treats everyone fairly and offers many opportunities to improve grades. As long as you do the work on your part, which is literally discussion posts and active participation, you will get a great grade. He is always accessible, super easy to talk to, and very accommodating.
worst course I have ever taken. rude and very unprofessional
The prof was quite rude during his lectures. Very strict and dismissive towards all his students, especially when questions were asked. It was a shame since the course material was pretty interesting and the workload was otherwise fair.
Course was interesting and enjoyable. Test/quizzes are fair as long as you watch the lectures and make note of what he says in the recording. Discussion posts/attendance are easy marks. For the paper, don't wait till last min, you'll do good if you follow the instructions and pick a topic you're interested in. Ask questions, he'll always answer.
This Prof is the GOAT. Really cares about his students and tries his best to make sure everyone succeeds. Lectures were online and were easy to follow. Don't get me wrong this isn't a bird course, you will have to study the slides very well and the report requires a fair amount of effort to do well on.
