She really cares about the material of this class and opens it up to a lot of discussion. She's a fairly easy marker if you follow the instructions correctly.
The things I could say about this teacher and this class. Zeller's lectures were hell to sit through. They were so boring and uninteresting it was painful. She is also very nasty and gets defensive when students correct her. Very hard marker too. The midterm had nothing to do with course content so everyone did horribly
Very rude at times, kind others. Lectures boring to sit through. Graded difficultly on certain assignments. Weekly reading Q&A's make up 35% of your grade, and are graded out of 5 each time, no 0.5 variations, often resulting in people failing on them. Group project instead of a final. Read the textbook, participate & study for midterm to do well
Honestly not a very hard course but it was absolutely miserable to sit through. Prof was not engaging, encouraging, or willing to assist you. The midterm was ridiculous... thank god for bell curves. Overall not hard to get a good grade but you need to put in the work and go to class. If you have the option... take it with a different professor.
Nightmare of a professor. Midterm had nothing to do with anything we had learned in the term. Not accessible outside of class. Kind of a mean person tbh. Miss one comma in your citation? -20% for you!!! Horrible. Will be avoiding her like the plague.
Horrible teacher. Very disrespectful and doesnt help students at all. Boring lectures and slow marker. If you get her, switch out of her class as soon as possible. She obviously doesnt know how to do her job.
Frauke is a professor who really cares about making sure students are critical and well-prepared to analyze current issues. She is enthusiastic and respectful and facilitates great discussions. Weekly assignments with no exam are structured to make sure you do the readings and really interact with the content.
Prone to guilt-tripping as opposed to empathy when confronted with student concerns and issues. Created a crisis of expectations for evaluation and workload.
She just reads off the slides without providing any additional commentary or elaboration. Her criteria and expectations are unclear and subject to sudden change. She wasn't engaging and it often felt that she had one set answer in her head to the questions she posed, and constantly referred to herself as an 'expert' in a condescending way.
Great professor. Lectures are interesting, relevant and she makes the class fun as well. She promotes creativity amongst her students which is awesome for the assignments because you have leeway to work on something you're passionate about. Overall, really great prof and would recommend her any day.
