I like Bob I've had him for 2 classes this year and he's always been super nice and easy to talk to. Laid back class with weekly in class assignments but nothing too difficult. I like that he always has a coffee in hand because relatable.
Clearly more comfortable teaching smaller groups that actually participate, and not giant lecture halls of people playing games on their laptops. Asynchronous videos and digital textbook are clear on material, but lectures always felt half-prepared and not engaging.
Passive aggressive at times. Barely answers questions and course shell/outlines and instructions are always all over the place and confusing. Bi-weekly tests, class content is confusing and boring, weekly AI workshops, and weekly Discussion Posts. very strict on grading them too I don't know why!!
Why am I paying for Ai to teach me and why am I paying to train this mans AI model. Easy enough class but the Ai modules are so stupid and he is constantly resetting them or adding new ones accompanied with the fact the platform is unclear. Do not reco unless you have to. Again why are we being taught with AI. DUMB.
Probably the best and most chill professor there is. Had him for the courses CMN480/490, the required ProCom capstone project courses over the course of 4th year. Open to many topic ideas chosen by students, gives great feedback, very easy marker, and understanding. Willing to help always and answers emails super fast. Definitely recommend.
I honestly was nervous about taking 480 thinking it would be hard but it wasn't with Prof. Bob, He is honestly so nice and caring/ very approachable (unlike other professors). He also replies back to your emails very quickly which is helpful. I enjoyed his class and hope he is taking 490 next semester.
Robby is super chill, I wish the class had more depth and meaning but he tried his best to make boring content as interesting as possible. Super easy marker and must be able to view presentations/be in class to know updates and DB questions
Super nice prof and very knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches. His guidelines are usually pretty broad which can be confusing but his grading is very fair and he's not picky about most things. The marking breakdown is good but there are weekly assignments which can be quite time-consuming, however, they are great mark boosters.
Probably one of the most respected Procom profs I've had over the years. Although his assignment instructions are sometimes very broad, he is always willing to meet with you and help you out. He is genuinely well respected and shows he really cares about his students. He is also knowledgeable and you can tell he's very passionate.
Robert is a super chill proff but not very clear when it comes to guidelines and instructions which can be frustrating for some people. He doesn't post much outside of class so it is important to attend lectures to understand what he wants, he is very accessible outside of class and cool to talk too. He's flexible with guidelines as well.
