I've been in uni for 4 years and he's the prof I never fail to remember as an inspiration to me so I would keep studying politics. Not only an amazing prof but also an amazing mentor.
I really enjoyed the course and the tutorials. The professor alongside TA Aaron Johnston really helped me reach my full potential and help foster my interest in political science. I found Dr. Thorns & Aarons commentary on assignments very constructive on my final paper.
Adam is a great prof, keeps the content interesting and makes jokes about the mundane boring stuff. He is extremely approachable and easy to talk to about anything. I fell in love with policy after taking this course, which I think says a lot. We had two papers, weekly blogs (easy marks), and a final exam.
One of the best professors I've ever had from the politics office: Adam knows his stuff and is more than willing to go into greater depth or explain things again. Shout out to his TA, Aaron Johnson, who fails to attend classes on time, is incapable of answering questions beyond the textbook and would rather text rather than teach during tutorials.
Knowledgeable prof, lectures are good. Exam is fair. His TA ruined the tutorials (Aaron Johnston - avoid him at all costs) but aside from that it's good. He posts lecture slides, so attendance isn't mandatory. I found writing down the lecture slides + definitions in the textbook sufficient. Good into to polisci class!
One of the best profs I've ever had at Ryerson. Never took a politics class before but he managed to keep it to our level and maintain our interest in it. He knows how boring and tedious the subject can be and therefore tries to make it lighthearted with his chill personality. Someone to grab a beer with. For essays, see him in office hours!
Adam is a great breath of fresh air in the morning. I've dragged myself to class and sometimes don't even need coffee for his lectures because he is so loud and engaging. Gives good feedback and you should definitely talk to him for ideas for your policy summary/critique. No midterm either and gave us exam questions in advance.
Hes great! Honestly the best Politics professor, very easy material and very easy marking scheme. His lectures are honestly optional as he doesn't go beyondddd the slides, and don't even bother buying the textbook. The material for this course was simple enough to do an easy Google search. GO TO THE EXAM REVIEW! He tells you everything.
Pretty good prof, always answers questions, just beware that he takes a bit of time to answer emails. Lectures are good, sort of long but they get the points across. Make sure the read the slides he sometimes skips through. Lots of reading in the textbook. Attendance is not mandatory in lectures but is mandatory in tutorials.
Adam was a pleasure. He is approachable and wants his students to succeed. No textbook, clear instructions, and fair tests - no tricks. I would take all my classes with him if possible.
