Guys the class itself is actually so interesting and easy but she really sets you up for failure during the first and second midterm. Like its such as easy course but she makes the midterms so ridiculous for what. Dont even get be started on (c) all of the above (d) none of the above (e) only a and b likeeee????
Bullshit tests with questions regarding EXTREMELY niche slide references. Hundreds of slides worth of content to cover, and most of it is just jargon and random one-off references from dietary interventions from the UK or the States. Oh did you want to learn about Ontario's problems? Solutions? Haha, enjoy a NYT article instead!
Wonderful person and a wonderful professor. Her content is challenging, but that is not a reflection of her performance. I feel like the negative reviews are from students who haven't yet adjusted or developed the skills needed to keep up with uni work. Her instructions are clear, but you will have to put some effort in to get away with an 80.
Very kind prof. She's an average marker - easy to get 80s, harder to get 90s. Keep up with weekly lectures and you won't need the textbook - it's just a repetition of what she says in class. Some people may think she's hard, but she's very clear with expectations. All evaluations are fair and representative of what you learn in lecture:)
All her lectures are prerecorded and super boring! She just reads off the slides without further detail. Gives lots of readings, but I got a good mark just learning the info from the PowerPoint. She is pretty boring and barely interacts with her students. Dietary assessment assignment is pretty easy but make sure to start the beginning of the sem.
She makes what should be an easy class difficult for no reason. All of her tests are multiple choice but the course content is application based. She also gives 3+ hours a week worth of asynchronous lectures that are impossible to memorize.
Worst course I have taken this far. The prof is nice, but seems a little passive aggressive. She changed the syllabus multiple times and seems all over the place. Her exams are proctored and primarily memorization based, even though the course content is more application based? Her discussion posts are more like mini essays, so get ready to write.
I don't know what should I say. Her test is really harrrrrrrrrrrd and very detailed as well as requiring you to open the camera and lockdown browser. However, the discussion and presentation is an easy mark. The topic paper is really stupid assignment as the content you write is really unrealistic if only talk about prevention in chronic disease.
Dr. Wegeber is the nicest prof and kindest person I saw in my lifr. Her tests are really difficult thought. Memorise the slides really well.
since the class was online she put out prerecorded videos that were hours long and then she would come onto zoom for 45 minutes if anyone had questions. you have to learn on your own. midterm and exam are from her slides if you know that well you are good to go.
