She does not make you memorize dumb facts. so discussion based and you are able to really think critically. readings are not huge at all, extremely do-able, and just help further solidify your learning. talk in class, it just further develops your ideas and prepares you for the tests/assignments (which are fairly marked)
Kinda boring lectures, but she cares about how well you do. If you even participate a little bit she will care. She basically tells you whats gonna be on the test, so if you study what she tells you its an easy A. On essays, shes not the easiest marker but also not the toughest.
Not sure why she has such low ratings. Jasjit is a great professor - not the most eloquent but knows her stuff. Grading material is very clear and fair. Participation is worth a lot but it's because she just wants to make it engaging. Like any class, if you attend lectures and do the readings this course is an easy A. Only con: reading intensive.
This prof is really weird. She'd start a sentence then would say "okay" then says either starts over or talks about something else. Her tests are stupid and short where each question is worth a lot (more chances of you doing either REALLY good or REALLY bad, nowhere in between). Classes are waste but participation is a lot of marks so go to class.
Her tests are not the same materials that she covers in class. So read the textbook!
this professor was welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed taking her classes.
This wasn't a hard course, but that being said lectures were incredibly dull. I don't know if she gets nervous but she stutters and coughs the whole class, and cuts herself off and says "you know what I mean" and then starts a video. In terms of exams, just rely on the text because lecture is not helpful at all. She is helpful one on one though.
The one big problem i have is her poor communication skills during lectures. She seems to have trouble communicating the lecture material in a clear manner. I often have trouble understanding the points that she is trying to make in class. In addition, her lecture slides are not helpful.
I actually found her to be a great professor and really enjoyed taking this class
She can be friendly at times but she lacks classroom management, she doesnt teach effectively. She also lacks content knowledge and will often leave questions unanswered.
