Good professor, cares and gives good feedback. He helped me alot when it came to assignments! Overall, great professor

I have had him for 4 courses, and I can honestly say that he is the best ITM prof for BTM. He wants you to do well and gives free 10 percent for assignments but you have to at least attempt it to get the full grade. Midterm was challenging but fair and try to maximize before Derbal's BRUTAL FINAL!!!! Overall, ROY IS THE GOATT, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Debashish is much better then Youcef Derbal for this course, he makes his midterm easier, and with 40 ish questions so that if you get one wrong it doesnt tank your grade too much, he's friendly and teaches pretty well. The final was bad because Derbal makes the final, not a single question on the practice, or similar was on it.

Dr. Roy is a great prof. who cares about his students. Exams are easy and straightforward. He provides feedback on all assignments before you submit them. Only thing is you have you have to show up in his classes. Would love to take him again.

Barley passed because of that brutal final exam, he also makes the assignments unrelated to what is taught in class and excepts you to know how to do it.

All the assignments were done simply by following the instructions. I could literally finish every single one in less than an hour if i sat there and just focused. 100% on every assignment and even on the group project as well. The tests will be difficult IF you do not lock in and pay attention and don't ask question or know the material, expected!

I was enrolled in CITM618 and ITM820 with Professor Roy he was always respectful, and understanding. His lectures were genuinely enjoyable to attend. He's a fair grader, and he's always approachable if you have any questions or need help. From my experience, if you attend his classes, and actually try solving the assignments, and you'll do well.
