This course can be pretty easy if you do the practice questions given out from Clare Chua's class. Dan tries to help out his students but sometimes just confuses everyone more. He's very monotone and sometimes loses focus in class. Sometimes seems like he doesn't want to be there
His lectures are incredibly boring, and it takes him an eternity to cover a single topic. His tests are somewhat tough but survivable if you study. The good side is that he makes good memos which summarizes the material even better than the lectures themselves. Textbook is pretty much mandatory.
Lectures are very long and boring. He tends to get lost in the subject and is hard to follow. Textbook is a must so study it hard because slides are not too helpful and no worksheets provided. Does not try to gain your interest so even if you don't go as long as you study the textbook you'll get an A. I do not recommend taking this prof.
This proff is old but really nice & will help you with anything to the extent of his ability. Lectures were long & boring, didn't learn much in class. Instead I skipped his class & went to tutoring where I learned the entire course from the text and tutors. The group project is easy once you get the hang of it but my partners did nothing. great man
Extremely HARD course. He rambles on. You get impression that you have no homework. You get lazy and loaf around. You will FAIL! Read textbook and work even if you learn nothing from this prof! But if you email him with textbook q# you need help with, he will reply back and answer all questions with detailed solutions. Only nice thing about him.
This is basically data management from high school. I struggled in this course. Read textbook cover to cover. Do every math question/problem in textbook. 2 quizzes, midterm, final. Everything is really HARD! He is a bad math teacher. Group project using SPSS which is a technology that's hard to use but does same thing as excel (make graphs).
QMS 102 statistics is basically gr 12 data management. Prof is an old guy, rambles on & lectures are VERY disorganized. He tells some boring personal stories and gets off topic. He posts a course outline which tells you exactly what reading he wants you to do from textbook and practice questions. DON'T GET BEHIND! Do every practice q# in textbook.
His lectures are all over the place, and extremely dry. It was honestly very difficult to stay engaged. His voice is quite monotone. If you have him, try to learn the course on your own. He is quick to reply by e-mail, but in person, he is not as helpful. Would not recommend.
He is genuinely a nice guy but his learning techniques are different, you're better off learning the material on your own but he tries his best to show students the material in a more efficient way. He replies to concerns through email or in person and addresses them immediately, really nice and approachable but not the best professor for QMS
He's a decent guy, but that's about it. He doesn't understand any of the material himself, even the very beginning chapters he struggles with. My friend was on the same train as him one time and the prof recognized him, so he came and began asking him to clarify some of the material from the textbook because he didn't get it himself. slow speaker
