Laura Fisher

The class is set up very well. As long as you take good, detailed notes in lectures; participate in tutorials; and incorporate feedback, you'll do great. The lectures are well-structured and the tests and assignment have clear guidelines. Our TA Tyler was also amazing and gave very helpful feedback. This is a great into English class.

Also had her for ENG409. As long as you show up to her lectures, you'll be fine. Her lectures are pretty engaging, and she's nice :)

Great prof. The readings she assigned were genuinely interesting and always sparked great class discussions. Would definitely take her again.

Dr. Fisher was an amazing professor (had her for ENG307). She is kind, caring and really wants the best for her students. There were workshops where we had to get into groups and edit work but if you are paired with a good group, it can really benefit you and help you get a good grade.

I really enjoyed prof Fisher and wish i got to experience her in person. She went through the material thoroughly and had me genuinely excited about school. My TA, Marc was awesome as well and they are such a good pairing. They were both very understanding, gave good feedback. would 100% take again. Her lectures were also not boring at all

Class was asynchronous but even then it was clear that she was passionate about the material and her lecture videos were great. She is very understanding and seems like she would have been really great to have in-person.

I had Professor Fisher last semester and she was great. Never really got the chance to talk with her, but just from her email, she was very understanding and nice.

Class is async allowing you to do it at your own time and go back and rewatch old lectures. Prof Fisher is really passionate about what she's teaching and is very insightful. The tests are given 1hr to complete. However as long as you watch the lecture and take notes, you will pass with an A. Everything is told in the lecture so pay attention!!

Prof Fisher is excellent. Her content is great. But all her lectures were asynchronous. We relied on TAs for all the explaining and practice work. Quite a few assignments. Overall great class though.

Dr Fisher is fantastic, passionate, and understanding of her students. My only regret with this class is that I wasn't able to experience it in-person.
