Ron Smith

He is the worst professor at Ryerson University. He got upset while a student went to him for feedback (as he said "No one ever came to me for feedback about their exams!). What's wrong if a person wants to seek feedback for improvements while I was not trying to get more marks! Very low quality of professor!

he is a nice prof but can't teach. His lectures are boring. He's not an easy marker.

Might be top notch in the business world, but as a professor he is useless. Spent every class watching him try to figure out how to use google, and the rest watching useless videos. Changes his mind about what he wants every class, and will simply insult you if you go to him for help. Avoid him like the plague.

This is the worst BUS 800 teacher by far. Drop it, I came very close to failing and I have a 3.7 GPA. I suggest taking it in the summer. I hear its a lot easier.

the subject is not that exciting, so don't expect too much. He's fair and helpful. No complaints

Vague, wishy washy, contradictory, hard to stay focused on his boring mumbles. Little to no critiques on papers - if you pursue constructive feedback he will express frustration and arrogance. He definitely needs to improve!

Here's the deal. If u want learn anything go to Ron, if u are out for easy marks, go to Phil Walsh. I had friends with all the profs and when we got together to work on our final cases, it seemed only the people from Ron's class had a good idea of what was happening. This course is fair but req a lot of work, so make sure u got good friends w/ u.

Mr. Smith is a good professor. He stays after class so you can ask questions about cases, and responds to emails promptly. He does not punish you for not attending class when grading your cases; by not attending class you do not know how to properly work through the case as he works with the class on a practice case. Overall, a strong professor.

oh.my.god. run away, run away, and then consider running some more. doesn't have opinion, very vague regarding assignments. rude. will punish you for not attending classes by giving you a lower grade on cases. hard to receive an explanation on why exactly you got the grade you got.

Classes are so useless were all he does is talk nonsense and show uneccessary videos. His marking is hard. Take any prof but him, you would end up with a better grade. Also, he greatly judges you on participation where u would get a lower grade on cases if not participating in class. Ryerson should seriously consider getting rid of him.
