Professor Miller is engaging, personable, knowledgeable about the history of various existential philosophers and takes care to nurture students' interests. He always knows which philosopher is my favorite and he enjoys building relationships beyond the classroom (so def talk to the guy about anything you want). I'm glad he's still alive and teac
Hes an absolute sweetheart. Really down to earth and kind person. Provides good feedback and is genuinely interested in the success of his students. Class was easy. Just pay attention and get an A- at least.
very straightforward, just go to class and he will repeat over and over what you need to know. no textbook, only need to purchase overhead notes for $17. midterm, final, and philosophical essay - all take home
Professor Miller genuinely cares about his students, not just in academic success but also in their well being as well. He offers recommendation letters and helps in ANY way he can, academic and non-academic. Very accessible over phone and easy to talk to.
Can't say enough nice things about Professor Miller. He is genuinely caring, compassionate, and encouraging. The importance of the course material speaks for itself.
Reads off the note package in lecture. Never kept us the full 3 hours, usually only about an hour. He doesn't use D2L/email so everything is handed out in class. Midterm/Final are take home. 1 other essay. All pretty easy subject matter, but while he doesn't really give out C's, he also doesn't hand out a ton of A's. Not very clear of expectations.
Amazing prof and person. 3 essays. Lots of time in between assignments. Easy enough to do well if you stick to his notes. Very accessible outside of class. He doesn't have email but always encourages students to call him at home. Very welcoming and approachable, genuinely cares about the success of his students. Best Prof I've ever had.
The tests were marked harder than I expected
He is not clear of what he is teaching. Lecture itself is not enough to student understand the material subjects. He is giving out good grades and he has good attitude on students. It wasn't bad except my high hope in his great review.
Professor Miller is the single best professor I have ever taken a course with. Of course he does enjoy his usual rants and on going stories, but as far as the course goes he is simply the best. He gets through each lecture painlessly and and in great time! As long as you attend class, and make comments and questions it's a for sure pass!
