Bad class. He spends all of his class time skipping through slides and not taking the time to explain how everything works and explains stuff in his lectures that for the most part won't really help you on the midterms or even the final. The content was taught in a way that was very rushed and poorly executed.
worst class. spends all of class skipping through slides and examples that won't be at all similar to questions form exams which are taken from test banks instead uses all of class showing how one long equation is derived but doesn't show you how to use it. he's not even that attractive. doesn't make the material digestible.
Professor Stacey was okay but I really wouldn't take his class again. I found that he glided over the examples in lecture and even if you went to his office hours, he wasn't very clear, as in precise, when answering questions. He's a chill dude but you really need to shove your calculator to his face for him to give you a clear solution.
I have always said that the cute professor are the worst and that still stands. i had to read the textbook cover to cover just to understand half of what was going on in class. But if you read, you will get a good grade.
Derek is awesome. Some people dont find him to be a good prof, I never understood why. Even though, the material can be challenging, hes willing to help students all the time.
Derek is very intelligent. He is always willing to help students outside of class. His lectures are delightful and worth attending.
Derek is a genius. At first, he's really awkward but you get used to the awkwardness and the awkwardness becomes a delightful theme of the class. He tends to over think everything in his head before talking, so there is gonna be an awkward silence. The material is tough, but if you go to his office hours or participate it makes it easier.
Derek is one of the most likable people you will ever have the pleasure of getting to know! He wants his students to do well but he will challenge them to reach new limits. The organization and preparation of his lectures could be improved upon to ease the unnecessary confusions. He makes up for these shortcomings within his office hours.
Willing to help students if they ask. Knowledgeable. Canadian accent. Engages students.
