John Laugesen

One of the best professors I've had so far at Ryerson. Extremely helpful, cites real-life scenarios he's encountered, and makes sure all students understand the material. Overall, an easy going guy and I would recommend him to any student. Note: You definitely don't need the book, but it helps. Just memorize all of the definitions.

One of the best first-year professors out there! Super nice guy and if you ask him for help he will gladly assist you. The course material is extremely boring and requires a lot of memorization but he tries his best to make the lectures fun and engaging. A+ prof!!!

Amazing prof. Genuinely cares about his students and is extremely fair. Gives hints on material and goes above and beyond to help. Definitely my favourite professor of university so far. If you get him, consider yourself extremely lucky.

Loved this prof! He genuinely cares about his students and tries to help you out as much as possible. He is a fair marker, teaches what needs to be known for the midterm and exam, and thats it. Although ITM is a pretty boring class, he tries his best. Strongly recommend him!

The lectures can get boring sometimes, not because of the way he teaches, but just the material itself, but he tries his best to make each lecture as interesting as possible

Honestly, i only wish i appreciated him as my prof sooner on. Best prof ever, very student friendly, always willing to help. Even though i hated the course, John was amazing and soo caring of everyone unlike all other profs. Overall, best prof i've had so far and i only hope to have him in the future. Such a gentleman, love you John!

Love you John!!! John made my first semester bearable. Despite the not-so-friendly schedule I had with him this semester, 8-9am lab and 3-5pm lec on Fridays, John is a very student-friendly professor. His patience and understanding to his students are unbelievable. A true gentleman! Pass or fail, I am happy that I had this course with him.
