Matt is a very misunderstood prof. Yes, he rambles too much in some lectures but he will help students when they need it, as long as they don't take advantage of him. He is not a harsh grader, his readings are thought provoking, and he also encourages unique ways of thinking. Also, Matt is genuinely funny, his dry wit is unmatched.
Good course, nice, caring prof. Seems intimidating but is accommodating. Lectures bit boring and long, he could cut down on length. Weekly reading quizzes in person, and a final exam essay worth 60%. Gives lots of time for the work, attendance is mandatory but the quizzes are super chill and the course didn't feel like an extra stress in the sem.
Super chill guy and basically just yaps for three hours straight. Classes can be super boring because he rambles on about random unrelated things, but he's actually pretty funny. Easiest class yet as there was only three assignments and an in class essay. Super easy marker and gives you feedback through an audio message which is fun.
Interesting course! I like writing essays again because of this class. Matthew is so hilarious and smart! I took class in 2024 but I was a bit behind with my review! Honestly, go to class, have some thoughts and idea you'll be fine.
Genuinely so funny. I actually laugh a lot during his lectures. Some people give him some sass in class, and he handles it like a champ. ICONIC.
Easy marker, nice guy. Does not help students to learn anything. ProCom barely teaches communication studies as is. Most time is spent learning adobe apps and other things. I was really looking forward to this class. Wish he would record himself talking so I can listen to it as a podcast rather than sit there. No point since there's no visual aids.
Okay not going to lie, his lectures can be a bit long sometimes, but he's a funny man and makes interesting comments on some subjects relating to the readings. He also read someone's rating in the middle of a lecture and proved them wrong by doing the quiz in the beginning AND the class shorter, I wish to be this level of petty LOL. He's an icon ;)
Not sure why anyone would write a negative review tbh :/ The lectures can run a little long, but he seems to just enjoy talking about the topics. He's super kind and funny and likes to engage with the class. Quizzes are weekly but he's not a tough grader for them. Also he likes to talk about his son which is pretty awesome.
Matthew is a very understanding professor and enjoys discussing ongoing world events connecting to the course materials. Although he has quizzes in each class, he just wants you to be in class, which is the least a student can do. Also extremely easy marker!!!
This professor is great, he is very understanding and is really funny! You can tell he cares about his students and what he is explaining. It feels like a conversation, and he is very good at helping you comprehend the material. He gives weekly quizzes, and it is clear that he wants his students to succeed, and he's on our side. LOVE HIM!
