Dr. Kriger's lectures are pretty dry, but the information she presents is useful. She also occasionally brings in guest speakers who are engaging. The assignments she gives are open ended which is nice if you're more of a creative person.
She's great & all, but I wouldn't take her again. No point going to lectures. She was very accommodating & kind. I think she could have done a much better job of making rubrics clearer and classes a bit better. She speaks monotone & tries to come off as fun, but is too uptight. Very difficult to get 100s in this class, but hard to fail, too
Sarah is great! I had an early morning class with her and the lectures can be boring but, she's so lenient and kind i looked forward to class. The readings for homework were annoying but so easy. She lets you redo one assignment if you're unhappy with your grade and she's tech savvy, course info is easy to understand and all online.
She only came in because our professor left halfway through the course, but she still made the best of it. She gives amazing feedback and clearly takes the time to read everyone's work fully.
(She was my lab instructor for CMN432) Good course, the slides were well put together. Participation was inclusive. The assignments were thoroughly explained, and she would provide good feedback on how to improve both your presentation and writing structure skills.
Incredibly diligent, kind, and caring professor. Marks things almost immediately, and has given me so much help throughout the course. When I was ill she told me to "submit the assignment whenever you are able" who does that?? Would take again.
Kriger is clearly passionate about the material, but her tendency to frame course content through a strong personal political lens can make the learning environment feel one-sided and, at times, uncomfortable. While lecture attendance is mandatory at 25%, maintaining student engagement in the large hall proved to be a challenge
Boring lectures, engagement is low.
The actual course & assignments weren't super difficult, most of it is workshop based, the prof is nice and understanding, but just picky/strict when it comes to grading, can definitely do well but more like a A- type class over an A from grading. Big group project with a lot of members, lectures are boring and mandatory, along with labs.
This class is easy, but it seems like it's hard to get a high score. It's a class about writing. I got 75% on my first two assignments for some reason. Even though I ended up getting 85% on the group work and perfect scores on all the other smaller assignments, my final grade was only an A-.
