Hes a good person and tries to make the class entertaining. He focuses more on specific points of the lecture and has frequent class discussions, but if youre not interested in the discussion aspect then the lecture slides are pretty much all you need to pass. 2x20% midterms, 1x20% assignment, 1x40% final (non culminative, half MC and case study)
Such a great prof! Really enjoyed going to his classes, he genuinely cares about his students, and his lectures are very interesting.
Professor Chalmers was great! He's a really nice person who wants his students to succeed and is very understanding if you need an extension. My only complaint was there were so many assignments worth very little marks but required a lot of time to do them. Choose your group wisely because there's a ton of work to do in the group assignment.
David is literally the best prof ever, i am so happy i switched into his class. He actually cares about his students and makes the lectures fun. SOOOOO understanding. Gives extensions if you have a reason. DONT THINK, JUST SWITCH INTO HIS CLASS TRUST. The main project was pretty easy/fun, one quiz worth 5%, and 2 individual assignments, exam.
Professor Chalmers is the real deal. If you don't take a course with him while at Ryerson you're doing yourself a disservice. Lots of work in the course though, try to pick your group wisely for the team project.
David is a very pleasant and kind professor. His classes are easy, just make sure you participate as he really likes that. However his TA's mark the assignments and tests and they are really tough markers. There is a lot of work in the class, but overall he is way better than the other professor that teaches this class.
I took Professor Chalmers because I had heard the other teacher for this course was a nightmare. I'm sure glad I did! David is a very kind, knowledgable man who truly cares and wants to see his students succeed. He was not quick at responding to emails and encourages you to call him instead for fast results. I would definitely take him again!
Prof Chalmers is absolutely excellent. He's very knowledgable, and enjoys watching students succeed. His feedback is phenomenal, and his lectures are very enjoyable. I strongly recommend him.
Simply a great prof, truly cares about his students. His lectures really help to prepare you for real world situations and the exams. Would recommend.
Professor Chalmers is a great teacher who wants students to succeed. He will work with students outside class hours and his lectures are fun (even on a Friday afternoon). It's so obvious he's more interested in students learning than just teaching the material. Great professor - engaging, fair, respectful.
