Do the readings, watch videos, and practice NCLEX questions This is a heavy course with tough exams, and this professor doesn't provide the teaching you need. One hour of lecture isn't enough to truly learn the material. I felt lost and her learning did not help me in clinical so please use clinical to supplement your learning.
WARNING!! Had this prof for 211 and regret it. She is kind, but her lectures were unhelpful and did not prepare me for skills tests. Questions were met with vague or inconsistent answers, leading to frequent remediation. Please do readings, take lab notes, photos, and seek support from other profs. I was her "weed out" student. I'm traumatized.
She is nice, but is terrible at explaining, bordering on not knowing what she is talking about. Terrible lectures where she withholds slides. Had to rely HEAVILY on readings as her lectures are no help whatsoever. Very slow talker and not engaging at all when doing demos in labs. She does go easy on students and is not a tough grader.
She doesn't seem like she knows what she's talking about AT ALL: she constantly mispronounces medications, terms and common words, she only really reads off the speaker notes, she says that things are "correct" that are completely wrong. Unfortunately I am stuck with her for this crucial class but if you can, I advise you to not take her class.
she is incredible. EASY MARKS!!! everyone in my group had a 100 avg, and after the final assignment, some only dropped to 96. she is sooo sweet and she KNOWS youre learning and will never be mean/harsh abt mistakes/questions! does her best to get u opportunities in clinical and she makes u feel like she is learning w u! she answers questions well!
BEST CI EVER!!!!! SO BLESSED TO HAVE HAD HER AS MY 1ST YR CI
If you get Mary you're one lucky student, especially if she's your CI. Don't take her for granted, really made my entire year.
Mary is by far one of the best clinical instructors you can get. She is extremely supportive, understanding and stands up for her students. She is very easy going and makes you feel comfortable. Only thing is she can seem a little robotic during lecture, but in lab and clinical she is amazing
She is a great clinical instructor. She is really kind and does her best to maximize your clinical opportunities!
Super kind CI. Does her best to get you the most opportunities in clinicals.
