Great professor who is knowledgeable and a fair marker. Overall, a good guy.
Professor himself is alright, sadly the weekly lectures are infuriatingly long and tedious/boring. No efforts were made to engage the class at all. Quizzes were challenging and sometimes covered the entire 10 weeks of teaching making studying unbearable. Guidance given on group work and essays was minimal and occasionally counterproductive.
Worst class i ever took. Grades unfairly by letting students decide what grade your group should receive. Refuses to take zoom appointments unless its "worth it". when he grades tests, he wants to give you a horrible mark. worst grader. very boring just talks the whole time. don't take this class you'lll regret it.
His lectures are really boring but he's not a bad guy. He does try to be as helpful as possible in terms of projects and tests. Tests are a bit difficult but if you do the readings and make good notes then you're fine. Oh, and participate.
Little structure in his teaching. Grades are random with vague or no feedback.
You have to work hard for this course.
Very straight forward teacher follow his instructions and do the readings and GO TO CLASS. This isn't rocket science so follow those rules.and you'll be fine.
Lorne is a very approachable teacher. As well, he makes the course content easy to understand as well as brief. His assignments are pretty straight forward and you will do well as long as you answer what he asks for.
He is a very nice professor. His slides are very brief but if you listen well in his breakout sessions, you will find the quiz easy. He marks the essays fairly and he stresses the points he wants in the required papers to make it easier for the students to write the paper. He is also very approachable. I would highly recommend this professor.
Super nice, helpful guy. He genuinely wants his students to do well. Read the text and listen during his seminars and this course will be really straightforward. Definitely would recommend you try to get this guy.
