lectures can be lil bit boring sometimes but its not her fault. She is amazing as a professor. Kind, caring, accessible, fair to every student. As a year 1 student, you would want her as your professor bc she is considerate, patient and welcoming. Accessible outside of class. Love her!!! she is the role model of a nurse
If you have Prof Lapum for NSE101, Your'e blessed. Very knowledgable and also very approachable. I hated doing the weekly quizes but later realized they helped me prepare better for the final. She is one of the few professors that actually want students to learn and prepare them for their nursing career. I absolutely LOVE her.
LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEE Jennifer Lapum!!!! super sweet and understanding prof and someone you WANT to have in your first year. Paper was worth a lot but there were ways you could boost your mark with weekly quizzes, test were a bit difficult but she does give many hints for the final exam
She wants you to do well, so provides feedback and constantly provides opportunities to ask questions.
"in scholarly writing, make sure to be concise" WHY ARE THERE 20 TEXTBOOKS FOR THIS CLASS AND ITS ALL ABOUT THE SAME THING. BE SO SERIOUS RN.
Definitely a prof you want to have in your first year of nursing school. She's very thorough, kind, caring and will take the time to learn your name. Is always there to talk after class and provide feedback. Loves to do group activities so expect to move around the classroom and have discussions with many people. Readings are from her published OER
Dr. Lapum was my favourite professor this semester and possibly the best nursing professor ever! She gives great feedbacks and offers multiple mark-boosters. Dr. Lapum prepared us very well for the final exam with pre-quizzes and even made all the textbooks accessible which helped a lot.
The prof was pretty supportive, and always checked up on the classes mental health. The pre-classs quizzes helped me not fall behind, and also prepared me for the exam Overall the course was mainly self taught (for me), as it was purely based off the textbooks, (so if you did not attended any lectures but read the textbook you would probably pass).
