Lauren Kirshner

Dr. Kirshner was amazing!! By far the best professor I've had. Participation and reading matters, but the readings were very engaging and not tough at all. Discussions were interesting and her slides were great, but she doesn't post them. She is a really great lecturer and accessible, both in class and outside.

Dr. Kirshner's an amazing professor, true professional who's clearly passionate. Very knowledgeable, interactive lectures. Will need to read but readings are interesting. Have several assignments but process is broken down so due over several weeks. Term test at the end but super easy;on the concepts she reviewed multiple times. Gives feedback!

Second time having Professor Kirshner. She's honestly one of my favourite professors at TMU - so kind and caring and always there to help!

This is my second time having Kirshner. She is an easygoing professor and incredibly kind, and her lectures are interesting. She's a fair marker as long as you put in the effort and will provide specific feedback. She is accessible during office hours or class breaks, and she's always willing to go over any issues you are having with assignments.

I can honestly say she is one of the best professors I've ever had. She is so passionate about what she teaches and her lectures are always intriguing. She is also incredibly flexible and always makes it known that she is there to help. I would love to take one of her classes again.

This is for ENG 340 little magazines. She's literally the best and so beautiful. Always kind and caring. Love her so much. Gives great feedback and wants the students to do well in class. Makes sure to include everyone in class discussions and will make the lectures fun to learn. Incredible. Beautiful. Amazing.

So glad I was able to take this class. Professor Kirshner is amazing and I loved going to her lectures. Would love to have her again in the future.

Prof Kirshner is very easy going and flexible. I really enjoyed the her lectures and she explains everything well. The feedback she provides on assignments is always clear and helpful. Overall, this was a really enjoyable course where Prof Kirshner was encouraging of applying your creativity in all the stories you write. 100% would take again

Prof. Kirshner is very kind and clearly devoted to her work. She gives good lecture presentations and no assignment seems out of place or unnecessary. However, she allows for students to take over her lectures too often and classes can devolve easily into students sharing off-topic stories. She is still great though and I do recommend her.

Class was laid out well. Prof Kirshner obviously has passion for writing and creating collaborative spaces for students. She is upbeat and flexible to student interests and needs. Very supportive and comes up with great ideas for stories on the fly. Her slides were pretty, she tended not to follow them for lecture (more free flow), posted instead.
