Lectures and content are good. Labs are useful. BUT, very very tough grader. Questions in mid term and final seem easy but he actually expects way more than what the questions ask. Group project grading contradicts what the instruction says, and also very tough grading. GPA ruined.

Sassy sometimes & always has smth to say. If u answer 1 of his questions, he's gonna interrogate ur response. He isn't mean but a bit tough on the students. From his perspective, probably cuz he wants us to do well. Midterm + final is easy but it is all short answer. The group project is marked very tough, watch out. Overall respectable prof.

listen everyone. the material is easy and kind of monotonous. the mid-term had 9 easy short answer questions. I got a 66% because there was so little to mark & he was such a difficult marker. I studied for 4 days straight and attended every class. I knew the answers to all the questions. this is the most annoying class I have taken.

Very unapproachable and rude to students. Be prepared to be berated for answering a question wrong instead of having a learning moment he chooses to insult you in front of the class. The course content is not hard but the added stress from having to deal with his attitude is too much.

Very argumentative. Asked a question about an answer on the midterm and got yelled at in front of several people, very embarrassing. Beware of the final group assignment. My group got a 54%, which was the highest in the class. All other groups got marks like 49,51,52 etc. Midterm was fair. I will never pursue occ hygiene thanks to Dr. Hon.

The course content itself is not difficult, however the professor is unapproachable and can be argumentative. Professor Hon is probably the worst prof I have had, and makes you lose any confidence or interest you might have in occupational hygiene. The prof made the course very stressful and unpleasant!

This professor is so inconsiderate, worst prof ever do not recommend taking him.

Get ready to lose confidence in all your skills because no matter how hard you work you won't be able to reach his expectations. You might lose some scholarships after this class so I highly recommend applying for financial aid and securing some housing so you don't end up homeless if you don't use the right filters.

The exams were fair because they were based on the lecture notes and online sessions. But the quizzes were absolutely horrible. There was no "rubric" so you couldn't see where you lost marks. The assigned TA wasn't really helpful and took a long time to respond to emails. When minor errors were made (on their part), the professor was obstinate!
