His lectures are informative and concise. He goes over many practice problems thoroughly and he is always open to questions.
Posts all lecture notes. Answers all questions in lectures very clearly and intelligently. Very likeable person and provides you with all the tools you need to succeed in the course. Really recommend attending his lectures, they supply the lecture notes so well especially with the examples he does
Very good lecturer with good slides. Was clear with answering questions in lectures. His midterm/quiz had 1 difficult question, but for the final both profs made it together (him and Jun Cao)
Great professor who engages with the class during lectures and is happy to answer questions. The other professor for the course had online notes and resources, and he made sure to let us know and encouraged us to use it even though it wasn't by him. The exam and midterm were super fair. Would take him again.
I had introduction to biomedical engineering course with him. He was very caring, well understanding, easy marker and the course was very inspiring and useful. He explained the slides very well and answered all of questions even the ridiculous ones patiently. Definitely take the course and enjoy his knowledge.
Dr. Tsai is a great professor. It is unfortunate that MEC323 is one of the most difficult courses, but Dr. Tsai was very helpful in trying to make us succeed. Through email correspondence, great lecture problems, additional help and practice given, Dr. Tsai tried to get as many students to pass as he could. Do not hesitate to choose him as a prof
Good quality video lectures, though I wish he posted slides to go along. Very kind and responds to emails quickly. You'll need the textbook for this course and study hard cause the exams are both very difficult.
This prof is a nice guy but a horrible teacher. Class averages are abysmal - evidence of his poor teaching. He goes through every topic as if it's so easy and won't answer questions. He does not do a good job to prepare you for any of the assessments.
50% midterm average but somehow its the students that need to prepare better. Very basic examples are done in class to prepare for the midterm and final.
50% midterm average but somehow it's the students that need to prepare better
