such a good prof. she is one of the reasons why I majored in sociology in the first place. one-semester I took all her classes and it went so smoothly, this should tell you a lot if you have trouble or if you are lagging behind please don't be scared to email her cause she will not judge you nor be passive-aggressive at all I promise you that

When I first met Rose in class I got the best vibes ever! she truly cares about her students and wants them all to do well! She honestly is such a great person to talk to in and outside of class. She is very down to Earth and such a kind person, she will make sure you do well and will help you, all you have to do is go speak to her.

Dr. Rose Torres always connects social policy course content to current events. She always respectfully corrects students and is able to clarify any course content when asked. Personality wise she is one of the sweetest professors I've had the pleasure of having and will always make you feel better about your anxiety of the course work. Recommend!

Prof Rose's course materials are well curated and I have found the whole course intellectually rewarding. Rose encourages class/group discussion and is very respectful of others' opinions. I will miss her thoughtful snippets, and of course the humor!

Rose is well-informed, passionate, and super open to discussion/critique! You may not always agree with her arguments, but she is very open to suggestion and wants to improve. I don't understand those who complain she isn't appreciative of all identity perspectives... multiperspectivity is her primary focus/objective!

Rose is an awesome professor. She's super funny and caring. The class itself was horrible but I wouldn't blame that on her because she has no control over that. There are two exams (100 items) and one written paper. You have to memorize a lot of terms.

Rose is an amazing professors who genuinely cares about her students and doing well. This class has been one of the most challenging ones in my years of social work; however, she always tries her best to make sure you understand the concept(s) and helps you succeed.
